Looking back at a busy 2025

As 2025 draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on an incredible year across our developments, communities and team.

From new sites breaking ground to welcoming our first residents into completed homes, it’s been a year defined by progress, partnership and continued growth for Edgefold Homes.

Here’s a look back at the highlights that shaped our year.

Spring: New launches and big announcements

January began with excitement as we started work refining details for The Meadows, our brand-new development in the picturesque town of Sandbach. With early interest quickly building, this boutique collection of homes has continued to gain momentum throughout the year.

In February, we released Phase II of plots at Eccleston Green – a development that continues to flourish and attract families seeking quality homes in St Helens.

March brought one of our proudest announcements of the year. Every home at Mount Pleasant was officially confirmed as EPC A-rated – the highest possible rating for energy efficiency. This was a huge milestone for the development, showcasing our commitment to designing modern homes that are both sustainable and cost-efficient.

Rounding off the season, April saw us break ground at Adlington Place, our exciting new 22-home development in Chorley. Watching those first foundations go in marked the start of a fantastic journey that has gained pace month after month.

Summer: Building momentum

While May brought steady progress across all sites, a standout summer headline arrived in June with the official launch of the Mount Pleasant show home. This beautifully presented home has played a key role in welcoming visitors, showcasing the quality, specification and thoughtful detail that define the development.

In July, we broke ground once again, this time at The Meadows. After months of planning and design work, starting on-site marked an exciting new phase for this Sandbach community.

Continuing into August, we celebrated a truly special moment: The first residents moved into Mount Pleasant. After years of vision, planning and construction, seeing homeowners step through the doors of their new EPC A-rated homes was fantastic.

Autumn: Community highlights and new partnerships

Autumn brought a mix of community spirit and development progress.

In September, our team at Adlington Place rescued a hedgehog found wandering close to active site work – a small but memorable moment that showed the care our team brings to every aspect of their work.

October saw the first Early Bird Preview Event for The Meadows at our newly appointed estate agents, Stephenson Browne. It was fantastic to meet prospective buyers and share more about what’s to come for this new development.

November continued with steady progress across all sites, with updated plans, new show home preparations and a build schedule that remains firmly on track as we look ahead to 2026.

Winter: Celebrations and industry recognition

December has brought several significant moments for the business.

We were honoured to receive the award for Best Small Housing Scheme Developer at The Grafters Awards 2025. This recognition reflects the commitment, expertise and hard work of our teams, partners and contractors across all developments. It is an achievement we are extremely proud of and a meaningful endorsement of the standards we strive for across every project.

We were also pleased to learn that Mount Pleasant has been shortlisted in Insider’s North West Residential Property Awards 2026 for Small Housing Development of the Year (fewer than 50 homes).

Here’s to an exciting 2026!
